Peach tree

It was planted some ten years ago by an enthusiastic house sitter by mistake, we let it grow into a thriving small tree, no fruit, sadly it died early last winter. John cut it down a while ago, today we decided to remove the stump although could see using the pick axe was hard work.  He popped up to ask if we could borrow equipment from neighbour Nick, a small winch, all worked like a treat, albeit hard work at times. The stump is out, I strimmed the area, also cut back some thorny bramble type growth.  We have a few raspberry canes to plant and need to prepare the ground. A good couple hours out there, and just when we decided it was time to stop the drizzle arrived.  Pleased we made time this morning.

Ted is lying under my chin as I write, he is an endearing character, sadly Tiggy is not happy when he approaches her, I don’t think she likes change to the routine. Hopefully she will see him as part of the normal way of living soon.
