Mono Monday - Round Candle

After breakfast I caught up with last night’s episode of ‘The Great Pottery Throw Down’ which I’d recorded in case I fell asleep watching it in the evening (I did). At the end of the day, comfy in my pyjamas and cosy dressing gown, I’ve only got to put my feet up on the sofa for five minutes and I’m away in the land of nod.

After lunch I emptied out what Mum used to refer to as “my pine box” (family joke that always made us laugh), which is in the second bedroom. There was a lot of stuff inside it which went straight in the rubbish sack, a few things to donate for charity and some items to keep. Among them was this pretty pink candle in a round tin, with hearts shaped in the wax. It has a rose perfume - my favourite. Mum bought it for me on a visit to the local garden centre, so it’s something which evokes happy memories. I processed the photo so that its monochrome colour is pink.
