Arthur
Never noticed this statue of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the middle of Picardy Place.
Knackered after yesterday so perhaps not the best mood to hit Hillend at 9.00am to find the matting really sticky and dry and impossible to turn. Everyone was complaining the same but didn’t do as me and got a huge confidence wobble and came away feeling rather tearful and defeated. Felt like ten steps back after last Wednesday’s euphoria
Was prepared to have a bad mood all day, instead went into town to return some jackets that I impulse bought to compare not realising how difficult they’d be to post back.
Aha, I know what’ll cheer me up. Lunch in Chez Jules only a fortnight after our last visit. So just on a Monday lunch, absolutely buzzing with great energy, conversation and just vibrant for a dull January afternoon. Are exactly the same as last week and at £21.90 for two, happy. And then the sun came out.
Home to garden/ tidy, cook , potter and then sat down and wrote a letter to an old friend. I didn’t get round to sending her Christmas card as always include a letter, so thought better to write properly. An hour of summarising 2024! I do like a letter and have so got out of the way of writing but determined to do so more. The next person in my list is my dads ex girlfriend from 40 years ago who was an amazing person and good influence in my life when life was a tad crazy. How do you summarise 40 years? I’m gonna need a day for that one .
