Anyone for tennis?

This is the corner of Flinders Street and Spencer Street.  The trams to the tennis run along Flinders St so you will see a lot of people waiting on this corner to cross to the Tram stop.  An interesting selection of tennis goers.  It was around 33C so I am not sure I would be wearing a pink fluffy hat like the chap is in the shot although the mono won't help you pink him out.

We saw the Djoko v Jiri Lehecka match followed by a very quick doubles match with some Aussie boys who were soundly beaten.  Doubles is such a good game to watch with lots of fast net action.  We were completely unaware of the Djoko controversy so were surprised when he didn't do the post match interview with Jim Courier.

We had gone to Victoria Markets during the day and had stocked up on some cheeses and dips and other nice nibbles so enjoyed them watching the end of the Alcaraz v Draper match outside in the grounds with the big screen.  It's always disappointing when someone has to retire.  The Djoko v Alcaraz match is going to be a goody on Tuesday.

So the first extra is John McEnroe being miked up for an interview and for the Brits, there is a very poor image of Andy Murray in the second extra.  He was right down the other end of the court and the zooms on the phones just don't cut it do they.  The last extra is shot of an iconic Melbourn tram and that very unusual building behind which is the W hotel.
