Hellebore Against the Late Afternoon Sun
I feel much better today. Possibly because the day started out sunny and bright for a change—all that brownish thick fog is gone. I have no idea if the fire at the power plant is still burning, and I have no idea what shenanigans went on in Washington. I spent my feeling-better-day out in the garden pulling weeds around the three struggling blueberry bushes and some of the garlic. It was lovely.
Department of Irony: I finally figured out where to order a replacement band for my Fitbit, and it arrived today. But when I went to remove the device from my wrist, it wasn’t there. The old band must have finally broken while I was outside, and the watch is somewhere out there in the garden. Tomorrow I will have to sift through the GreenWaste can and see if I can spot it among the weeds we put out for collection by the city. The old band is purple, so I have some hope of seeing it in all the green. Timing is everything.
