What I've Done

Mist over Causey Pike

Woke to rain pattering against the window, looking out, visibility was pretty minimal. However, by the time Deb left to run round the lake, the fog had cleared a bit, and clouds were drifting around Causey Pike.

I popped down to the lake, which was flat calm, paddled out far enough to get these foreground stones (yes, I did have wellies on) and got the mists round Causey Pike in the background.

I had to paddle out a bit further to get the stones in the extra, but fortunately the lake was particularly shallow where I was.

Both photos had a 0.3 ND grad over the sky (because the reflections were so good, only a very light grad was needed to balance out the sky & water brightness). I also used a 6-stop ND filter on the main pic - mostly to smooth out the ripples I caused!
