Do we?
Well, it is 33 years this month since we moved to Chobham so it can't be that bad for us still to be here. There's a lot I like about Chobham - the Basil and Blue coffee shop just along from this postbox for one. Also, the tiny museum that now occupies what was once a public convenience. It's a shame we no longer have a baker or butcher, but two mini-supermarkets at either end of the High Street are there for quick purchases of anything that has run out. There is a community spirit to the village, something I try to support as a voluntary driver for Chobham Neighbourhood Care, and the Village Fête is always great fun if the weather is kind (which it wasn't last year). It's always interesting to hear reminiscences of how the village used to be from older people whose families have lived here for generations. Chobham's location close to the M25 and M3 is both an advantage and a curse as it does mean there's a constant stream of traffic through the village. But it's easy to let the train take the strain with frequent trains to London from nearby Woking. So, do I love Chobham? I'm not sure I'd go that far but I'm happy enough to live here.
