Night views across Kuala Lumpur....Helipad Bar...

Rather naively I just assumed you could rock up at the Petronas Tower and go up take the view and do whatever else is on offer. Turns out you need to book several weeks in advance. Our driver fixed us up with a discount to eat at the adjacent KL tower. That gave us something of a daytime view before the weather closed in. Incidentally, the food was pretty bad !

The best solution came from a friend who recommended the Helipad Bar. Previously, a landing spot for helicopters, its now just an open platform with a bar. As I recall, around £ 20 / head gave us admission and two drinks. See photo for the view.
