Ghost....
The most glorious day! We went out for our walk early and then I wandered further and did the circuit major as it was just so stunning everywhere - a ton of extras coming up but they will vanish shortly. Kitchen Cove was looking amazing with cloud inversion going on the Mizen. By the time I'd passed the pier a fog was sweeping in - a very Irish fog, bright and tinged with blue. It got thicker as I went along the coast but as I turned the corner and went upwards, it all evaporated and by the time I got home there was wall to wall sunshine. The most exciting thing was the fog bow - which kept on appearing, once almost within touching distance! Also known as Ghost Bows or Cloud bows they're formed the same as rainbows but because the droplets in fog are so tiny they don't reflect colours - well something like that.
The afternoon was then spent in the garden where stuff is suspiciously looking like it might be about to burst forth! The birds were full of song and the cat was relaxing in the sunshine. Himself washed the car.
I succumbed briefly and read a couple of articles in the Guardian about the orange one's inauguration, Amongst all the deeply weird and disturbing stuff I have to say one of the most deeply weird and disturbing things was Melania's outfit - what had she come as? It was reminiscent of a Soviet airhostess uniform from the cold war - not that I actually know what those looked like. Psychologists are going to have a field day with the whole thing,
Slightly worried about Storm Éowyn which is meant to be rushing in for the weekend. Though the fog bow is meant to be a wondrous signifier of good things! I'm going with that.
