Snowdrops in the lane
At last the first snowdrops have peeped into the lane, covered as I thought they would be by the slashings from the farmer’s hedge cutter. But the sight of them lifted my heart. I look forward to more and more over the coming weeks.
I went up to London to Richmond to meet Sue H for lunch. I was carrying a huge hat that she lent me for a wedding but which I never wore. I was glad to get it back to her in one piece and after a jolly lunch in which we caught up I went home unencumbered.
Caught the trains changing at Richmond, Clapham Junction and Guildford home effortlessly before V who was teaching.
Cold day but calm and bright in the morning.
