For the record

I was voted in unopposed as chair of the local u3a today. Inevitable.
I didn’t really want to take it on as I love my role of Speaker Coordinator and it’s enough but when J took over as chair in 2022 and I was suggested as Vice chair, it’s not a long stretch of imagination to see where it might go. We’ve been actively trying to recruit to the committee as two senior positions fall vacant. One was filled but not chair so here we are! It’s a serious problem recruiting volunteers to roles these days.And I’m still also Speaker Coordinator. I’ll do my best!
