The View from the Top……

….. of the hills over-looking Anchorage in the Abel Tasman National Park. Early this morning Margaret and I drove to Marahau to trek along the Coastal Track to Anchorage. It was a distance of 12 kilometers and not as easy as one would expect. Storm damage over two years ago badly damaged some sections of the track. There were detours made and one or two of them are challenging particularly for me at my advanced age. We managed the challenges and reached Anchorage after four and a half hours. A quick picnic lunch there and then a trip in a water taxi back to Marahau. There were lots of folks of all ages on the track, we had a few interesting chats. A really good day out although I suspect I may be a little stiff tomorrow.
