My friend K is 40 today

This is kind of a diptych with yesterday, of faces glowing in birthday candle light. K is such a lovely neighbour - she has a one year old and a 4 y o, both boys. Her husband S is the person I often go to watch Bristol City with. Anyhow, this was a teeny little late afternoon celebration in between two work commitments for K. She is an art therapist with people who have been sexually abused. I’m really proud of her for doing such amazing work
The rest of the day was quite good too, a busy morning at Fareshare. Though I made a very stupid mistake - which luckily didn’t waste any food, but did waste someone’s time. I felt awful and must learn from it to concentrate better all the time.
And I had lunch with a young friend who has been travelling in places like Vietnam, Hong Kong and Indonesia for almost a year. Great to hear her stories, and talk over life in general.
