What came first....the Chicken or the Junglefowl?

That is the question posed by Birdland next to this aviary. The answer is the Red Junglefowl the wild ancestor of the domestic chicken. These birds are part of the pheasant family and have roamed the forest of South East Asia for 18 million years. They eat seeds, plants, insects and even small mammals like mice.
In extras you can see the female and also three rainbow lorikeets that made me smile.
