Lyme Regis Sea Defences

I popped down to Church Beach in Lyme this morning to see how progress on the sea defences is progressing. You can't get very close (for obvious reasons, lots of heavy machinery) but I took this shot where you can see the new sea wall. This is a £19million coastal scheme to stabilise and protect the coast and prevent 480 homes from experiencing destruction, damage or loss of access over the next 50 years.
There is a geologist working with the engineers to make sure that the fossils are preserved.
