Colourful Stamps

Yesterday I shared two coins from my small numismatic collection, and today I bring you a couple of colourful sheets of stamps from my equally small philatelic collection! They’re not worth much money, but they do bring back some fantastic memories from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. I was of course working in London every day when the Games were being held, and it was an exciting time to be in and around the city - there was such a buzz about the place. I was in the stadium for the Paralympics on the evening which became known as “Thrilling Thursday”, when one para athlete after another won medals for Team GB. The atmosphere in the crowd was electric, a special evening that I and everyone else there will never forget.

Today was another dreary day weather wise, but it was good to have my sister over for a catch-up and lunch.
