Sheep May Safely Graze

The ovines have had a relatively benign week, but they won’t like what’s coming this weekend.   I went along to Holm today to uplift the remainder of the wood for next winter.  This week I took CMC with me so she could have a catch up with Anne; they were at school together.  When I’d finished, Alistair had just finished the kye so we went into the farmhouse kitchen and joined the catchup.  The wimmin folk breathed through their lugs as they chatted.  A day of great visibility. On the way home the Current Mrs Creel picked out Ben Loyal and the Maiden’s Pap, both in Sutherland over the other side of the Pentland Firth.  Ben Loyal is known as the ‘Queen of Scottish Mountains’.
 
Is Joe Tree related to the Hot Chestnut Man ?  I think we should know
