Paw prints...

...and boot prints. The latter is European size 46 (UK 11, US 12), so you get an idea of the size of the paws. They must have appeared between a few centimetres of new snow last night and the light dusting this morning. The second time I have seen this beast's tracks next to the dryer and my parents' yard this winter, but Mum said she has seen them at least one more time. A lynx has been seen in our surveillance camera once and in a wildlife camera nearby many times, so one probably moves around here quite often.
