Cumulus Clouds
What a fabulous sky this afternoon. Cumulus clouds are a type of low-level cloud that tends to have noticeable vertical development and clearly defined edges. Cumulo means 'heap' or 'pile'.
This 'heap' of clouds was viewed from the moor on the western fringes of Bearsden looking north eastwards towards Milngavie. The rosebay willowherb is still blooming in profusion and forms a lovely colourful foreground.
