box o' strings

I've been spending a lot of time listening to Andy Timmons. One of my favourite guitarists, but I'd neglected him for a bit; sort of rediscovering now. 

At the same time, getting back into playing myself, I'm not really happy with aspects of my tone. Trying to narrow down at what point it's going wrong, and also considering my strings are years old, I bought some new strings. 

I mentioned Andy Timmons ... Now, I have been a diehard Ernie Ball guy when it comes to strings. But Andy has amazing tone. And he uses D'Addarios. So obviously, if I go back to D'Addarios I'll sound just as good as him xP Probably play as well too. xP

But more seriously, I just thought a change was worth a crack. I used to swear by D'Addarios for quite a few years earlier on in my playing, so who knows? Oh, they're also thicker gauge, so that'll be a change as well, probably more substantively so.
