Bat Cave

We were collected from our hotel at 9am for our half day tour of The Manroves in Langkawi (Malaysia) that's been recommended by so many people. The cost is a bargain £16 each!

We arrived at Tanjung Rhu Resort for the start and transferred to a speedboat with others, into the Mangrove Swamp, where we stopped to see eagles and Kites surfing the thermals. The main stop of the day was at The Bat Cave where the main photo' shows some of the thousands of bats. At the entrance and exit were monkeys who were after food and would make a grab for anything they thought would provide it! The extra shows one enjoying a nut!

After stopping for refreshments at a floating restaurant, we were taken to the entrance of Kilim Geopark on the Malaysian/Thailand border and then to a beach by Tanjung Rhu to cool off before transport back to our hotel.

A great day out to see a lot for not a lot!
