Spellbound

After the week's snowy weather we reached our ne plus ultra on today's walk from the Horseshoe Pass.  Although the road was ostensibly closed [sign and half hearted cones] the road itself was a strip of clear back tarmac and of course as we reached the Ponderosa cafe at the top of the pass, the whole world was parked at the side of the road enjoying some sledging!


We did our usual walk up Cyrn-y-Brain which was anything but usual, with deep snow, ice fringed heather and thick cloud rising and descending at regular intervals.  The sun and mist together made for some dramatic views.
