Sad to see a whole swath of woodland put to the axe.  What had been billed as 'clearing' has been a wholesale removal of all the mature trees [and associated habitat] in favour of replanting for a cash crop.  Unfortunately it's not publically owned, so not much we can do, other than record and watch the new [at least thankfully native] saplings start to grow.
