Picking up the pieces

As soon as the  small birds visit the feeder, Pigeons arrive from nearby trees to feast on the particles falling from above. I'm not overly enthusiastic about this but at least all traces of the food are removed.
A period of very heavy rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds this morning, which cleared shortly before lunch.
