At the GP's

After sending in a swab on Monday, today was the day to actually sit down with the GP. We're fortunate to have a female GP at the health centre who specialises in women's health. Without lingering on the details, she's the one I needed to see.
Long story short... I probably have shingles. There is no good place on the body to have this painful virus, and I am very relieved that it's not in my eyes. However, it is.... well, just where it makes sitting down quite an ordeal. Enough said.
She's put me straight onto a hefty dose of antivirals. I came away from the chemist with a bulging bag of those and a few other symptom-relieving items. Thank goodness for the NHS, battered and bruised as it is.
This on the day when I've read about Trump trashing the very moderate 'affordable care' health measures that Obama and Biden worked so hard to bring in. There is no limit to his vindictiveness.
