Edinburgh on Thursday.

Thursday is our usual day for a trip to Edinburgh. I delivered Pat to the Scottish Arts Club in Rutland Square and then drove to the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The weather was unpleasant and after enjoying Coffee and Chocolate Cake in the restaurant I headed back to the car, taking some photos through the metal railings.

I did some reading and then rendezvoused with Pat before heading for lunch at Chateau Millar located in an apparently posh part known as The Grange.

Pat had made some food for our lunch. Ann has had her second knee replacement and after we had been shown the knee, which was remarkably devoid of obvious signs of surgery scars we enjoyed lunch.

We departed shortly thereafter to head home before the promised bad weather really made its presence felt.

We arrived home safely, although there was quite a lot of surface water..
