Big Gust!
It was a day for staying indoors as the wind howled around the house, down the chimney and whistled through the solar panels. I had to go out early to Fitness and was blown down the hill and into Sara's. She changed her programme for the session when I told her about my crook knee, so there was some stretching and then lots of upper body work with the weights.
Back home there were lots of things to tick off the list after a very welcome cuppa. I've oiled my recorder, sent some e-mails, filled the bird feeders (the poor little birds were waiting for gaps in the gusts and using the neighbours' shrubbery to reach the feeders safely), sent lots of e-mails, printed off my words for Parkrun tomorrow as Andy's Man Club have an information stall; printed off a potential grant application form for some funding for the Drying Ground and took it down to Lynn's for her to look over it. Time then to put a couple of fruit cakes in the oven and we're having fish and chips for tea which means neither of us have to cook, result!
My Blip is of our neighbours' bamboo being bent over by one of those gusts. Thankfully J and P in Scotland have hopefully avoided the worst and Eowyn is dying away now.
