We survived and thank you for all the concern. I think we had it lightly for over 730,000 homes lost their electricity and ours very kindly stayed on. Somewhere in County Galway experienced a record gust and the whole country was under a Red warning.
 It was certainly wild and I didn't want to know about the violent storm that was forecast for 2am so all windows were closed and my ear plugs were utilised!  Nothing like the damage after Storm Ophelia here  but we are still under a colourful variety of weather warnings. We're travelling up to Dublin on Sunday when torrential rain and strong winds continue to cause havoc - heyho.
You can only do so much cleaning and gazing in a suitcase (now starting to get filled) so I went for a  bracing yomp around the circuit  I'm not sure if this dinghy arrived here on its own accord or was put here pre-storm - either way, it's almost in the road. Handy for a quick get away I guess as the garden beyond the gates goes right onto the sea.
