Ramblings and Mutterings

My winner

Headed to London Euston to catch a train to Birmingham. What an awfully garish station, it is not on my list of favourite stations.

Train trip was fine and I managed to do some work whilst I was on the train.

I was in Birmingham to support my young padawan in one of our clients supply chain days and the innovation competition they were running where she was pitching. She was pitching with one of our collaborative partners and they were last to go. As usual they smashed it. An awkward question came from one of the judging panel and my young padawan batted it back without any hesitation, she's brilliant. They didn't win in the end, the panel went with a fluffy entry in the end, but she's a winner regardless in my eyes.

Train home was a bit rammed, but we had a really good chat.

Headed out to London in the evening and we had a fantastic Indian meal at a place called Kricket. Her fiancee's cousin runs the place and the food was amazing.

As we were making our way back to the tube, we noticed a few of our trucks lined up on Regent Street. We decided to have a chat with them. They were there to help support the removal of the Christmas lights.  I was proud of my young padawan as she was chatting to the ops about all sorts of things.

Tomorrow should be exciting, the first cohort on our training programme get to present their projects to our exec.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  A fantastic presentation by my young padawan
2.  A delicious Indian meal in old London Town
