Ladies in waiting?
It was very windy during the night and rained.
By this morning the skies were clearing and a sunny day unfolded.
The wind was very strong, but we have missed the worst of Storm Éowyn which has battered Northern Ireland and Scotland and parts of Northern England. Hundreds of people left without power.
Although in our local area a man had a very narrow escape when a huge tree fell on to his car, our usual Tree men had posted photos on Facebook as they were called out to sort it. It also made the local TV news.
After our lunch as the wind was beginning to abate we set off for our usual circular walk, well wrapped up still against the strong gusts!
A coffee at the local Farmhouse Bistro which had been very busy with lots of people there for lunch evidently.
We found a spare table and had the usual drink.
I took the photo of the sheep in the adjacent field as we were leaving to complete our circuit, back to where the car was parked.
Normally we would set off from home and walk twice as far but I am doing ok taking it a bit at a time, The shorter route is just over a mile.
It was lovely to see sunshine and blue skies.
And I am happy to say that Stephen’s replacement fleece lined gilet arrived today! Here’s a link to the original story,
As he put it on I wished him Happy Christmas! Ha ha,
