Life's Little Moments

Charlie

I didn't have much time for photography today between yoga, walking the dog and editing my shelter-pics from yesterday.  So when I saw Charlie all curled up in one of his beds, I took a few quick shots.  There is always something about seeing sleeping cats that I find soothing.

We got Charlie from some friends who were moving out of the country and couldn't take him - they'd only had him for a few months but wanted him to go to a good home.  We'd lost our beloved black cat, Rocket, a few months before and felt that we had room in our hearts for another cat.  Coincidentally, our friends got Charlie from the rescue that I've been doing photos for - kind of a cosmic full circle.  He's a lovely cat, gentle with his humans and very affectionate, although he won't sit in laps.  He prefers to be carried around draped over a shoulder.  Of course, he tortures Jax almost every chance he gets although once in a while he seems almost as if he likes the dog...or maybe not.

I'm almost done editing my images from yesterday - just a few more tweaks and then I will load them into a gallery for my contact to see.  I think she is going to be pleased!

Slightly warmer today, up to a balmy 28 F.  It was warm enough for us to bundle up and take a walk (Jax and I, that is).

cheers,
Debbi
