Storm Éowyn

A wild day of gales and rain.  It did brighten for a bit around lunchtime, didn't last long.  Calmer winds this evening. 

A day working on my own.  I've been delivering wheelie bins to various locations, also attending to litter bins too.  Walkies with Sammy after work, popped by Madeline's.  Been down to mam's for tattie soup.  Jonny, Alex and Lena were along too, also Laura, Shaun and Megan.   Laura made tasty bannocks.  Walkies with Sammy again, early to bed tonight. 

A day of gales, nothing unusual for the winter months here, it looks like we missed the worst of Storm Éowyn.  The strongest of the gales was between 9-11am, maybe about 70mph.  I was mostly working on the west of Shetland, it was the east that was getting the battering.  All flights cancelled, ferries tonight cancelled too.  Not looking much better tomorrow, hopefully calm again soon.  Stormy skies above the croft houses at Innersand, Sand.
