There was a discussion
at the bird feeder today between the red bellied woodpecker and the pine warbler about who was going to get the most of the suet. The woodpecker was meaner so he won this round but the pine warbler and a couple of his friends came back by.
The woodpecker was okay with the birds eating the seeds on the tray but not that suet.
Note the green painted limb. Part of our new and improved feeder. We will be doing some maintenance on the platform so it looks better. We have not had a squirrel getting on this homemade feeder since we set it up. It does not look great but it works really well.
So much fun to watch the different birds. I have seen several flocks of American robins and a couple of killdeer in the past two days. Not at the feeder though.
Most of our snow has melted except for a few patches. It is wet and freezes back overnight. We had a much warmer day today! I did get my lazy self out for a walk.
