Make Me A Sandwich

Rich and I had booked today off work as we've both got a bit of holiday to use up before the end of March. I'll admit, I wasn't particularly enthused about going out, partly due to Storm Eowyn (which to be fair, here in Brum, was only yellow warning level compared to the ambers and reds elsewhere around the country), but largely due to the period pains still hammering my stomach and back. However, we had tickets to see Stewart Lee at Symphony Hall in the evening, and we both knew that if we stayed home until the evening that we wouldn't end up going, so we headed out around lunchtime. Ended up doing an impromptu pub crawl (with a brief Nando's dinner break), ending up in Fox & Chance for a couple of delightful cocktails. I'm very glad we did because, although the pains persisted, at least I wasn't just wallowing at home, and Stewart Lee was absolutely worth the effort! Incredibly funny, to the point my face started to hurt around halfway through. Splendid.
