While trying to clear out my amassed possessions, came across the warranty card for this simple radio-controlled tabletop clock.
It was given to me by colleagues at Wienerwald as a leaving present in December 1990. I don't know what it cost back then when such things as a 'Funkuhr' were very novel, I guess around 100-200DM (50-100€). German, Black Forest, built & still ticking away as accurately nearly 35 years later. Junghans still build watches, their cheapest RC tabletop clock costs €700 and although the design offered is more traditional & has glass rather than a plastic face, they don't do anything better.
The battery needs to be changed about every 3 years. Annoys me that the baby batteries are usually sold in double packs, so by the time the 1st one runs out, the second one is not at its prime. However it still beats any other battery powered device I have.
