Shapes and Patterns

Trees are endlessly fascinating and none more so than some of the grand old trees planted in gardens and parkland, often 100 or more years ago. Today's blip shows the trunk of a sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa) in Saltram Gardens, Plymouth this morning.
