Garden, planets and stars

Had a bit of a tidy up in the garden today. Gathered up a lot of twigs, small branches, leaves, bits of plants that had blown off, some rubbish that had blown in. 
I love snowdrops and there aren't a lot out at present but there are quite a lot more yet to open.
I was looking at the lawn and it's grown already. I think I'll need to mow it a while before the garden waste collections start (March).
Extra is of the sky from our back garden this evening - I was trying to find the planets that are supposed to be jumping out at you - apart from it keep clouding over I saw some larger shimmering things which could be planets but could be stars - I'm no planet spotter! I got one photo where it looked like I had a number of planets on but I think they were just blobs caused by my hand shaking with the cold!
I went out a few times to look but some of the time there was cloud cover. I like the twinkly things whatever they are!
