Burns night

We are not eating haggis… oh misery me! I love haggis but it’s always tricky being gluten free but possible.. gluten free and vegetarian is a step too far!! I have never seen a vegetable running around a hill so with that in mind it’s off the menu!
A home day with sunshine means I got out to do some bits in the garden which was happy making.
My husband has managed to wire in a new surface mounted socket in the sitting room. It will make all the difference. Jasper didn’t like the drill so asked to go out. Being dark meant there was no risk to the birds. Sadly we found a little coal tit demised on the terrace. Hard to know if it flew into a window or had been caught by her… sad.
The picture shows a teaspoon (2 actually) that I discovered were hallmarked Edinburgh in 1796 (the year Burns died) how amazing is that??
