Melting Ice on Potomac River

The warmer temperatures are melting the Potomac River. This view is from the ramparts of Ft. Washington. The opposite shore is Virginia, and the Mount Vernon Parkway that leads to George Washington’s home. 
If you look closely, you can spy the Bald Eagle perched in the tree.
