Skipton

We went to Skipton today to meet up briefly with the wider family.

After yesterday’s excitement, it was a beautiful day. Clear blue skies; sunshine; crisp air.

We passed through some lovely villages and saw some grand churches. The Yorkshire dales looked attractive with some snow spots on the hilltops.

We did not have time to visit the castle at Skipton but we did pass its imposing gates. The place was heaving as it was market day,

Back home, some delayed Christmas presents were hugely enjoyed by our grandson. He has added another Highland cow to his collection of soft toys. Very suitable for Burns’ night but he is not, so far, a fan of haggis. He did enjoy getting into his new PJs. (The sunglasses are a current fad!)
