Spotlit Leaves
With a little drizzle in the air and some thin high cloud this morning the conditions were perfect for some close up flower shots so I travelled to Ventnor to visit the Botanical Gardens.
The gardens face south and have their own micro climate suitable for many sub tropical plants to thrive. A pleasant morning was spent photographing some of the colourful plants and flowers . I also managed to get some close up shots of the resident lizards but they were not too good quality wise so they will have to wait for another day.
After lunch the sun broke through and the temperature and humidity soared which gave the gardens a real sub tropical feel.
I was going to blip a flower macro but just before leaving I was drawn to these unfurling leaves caught in the sun's spotlight so this is today's blip shot.
This weekend sees the start of the annual Cowes Week Regatta so I expect there will be some yacht related blips in the next few days.
