This morning we went on a Safeguarding course at church. We were amazed how many people were there, mainly from our church, but all there because they are involved with working with children or vulnerable adults. We were there in respect of Foodbank. To be honest we didn’t really learn much because we have to do these courses every few years but it’s always good to be reminded.
This afternoon we went to Abbotsbury Gardens for a bit of brain space. On the way home we stopped at a cafe in Abbotsbury next to Abbotsbury Great Barn. It’s a tithe barn, part of the Benedictine monastery founded in 1044. The barn was built in the 1400’s and is the largest barn in England at 272 feet! The doors are not very often open so it was great to be able to go in today.Very impressive! And the coffee and cake next door were pretty good too!
