Making the most of a sunny day, 17yo and I had an extended walk on the moor: up Green Lane to Hope Farm, through Hope Gate to the top and then down to Sconce and back. 

Meeting our own shadows prompted me to take this view down across the summer cabins and Sconce Lane, with Hawksworth Moor rising behind.  The field behind the cabins is the Barn Owl spot, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen any. 

We bumped into a flock of a dozen Lapwing, but otherwise it was a quiet day for wildlife.
