AUSTRALIA DAY

There were many boats in the bay today...some large and some not so.
It was a very low key celebration of Australia Day here today as we had the little girls, Sophia and Isabella, for a couple of hours.
We took them to Beatty Park swimming pool.  Beatty Park was built for the Commonwealth/Empire Games in 1962.
Anyhow the little girls loved the huge bucket of water pouring on them and the water slide.  MrD and I enjoyed being wet.
It's pleasing to note how the girls confidence in the water has improved.

I appreciate that there are some of us who find they're unable to celebrate Australia Day and they (the powers that be) may, and perhaps should, change the date to suit us all.  We have a fabulous country and hopefully we are able to acknowledge it with a cohesive celebration.
