Storm Eowyn Strikes

With all the warnings I made the sensible decision to not venture out too much today.
During a quick pop to the shops for some milk it didn't seem that windy. In fact I was having a conversation with someone there who said they expected far worse "2 out of 10, must try harder". Hmm, over the next few hours there were reports of various areas of the island having power cuts and a couple of hours later we were plunged into darkness. Predictions before we lost all internet and mobile signals was for the power to be restored by 17:00 on the 27th! Gulp!
OK, so no heating or lighting for the weekend!
