... The Storm

This was as far as I walked today - the field outside my house. In the photo it looks calm, but in reality I was struggling even to stand up. The house shook with the wind most of the day, though thankfully it hardly rained.  An Amber warning stayed with us all day, but just up the coast they had a red warning. 

Generally a few branches and trees down in the area, but no major structural damage. A few lorries on their side on the A66, and a couple of total idiots on top of Latrigg this morning filming how far they could lean into the wind (I watched them on my spotting scope) If they got injured it would be mountain rescue volunteers that would have to risk their own safety to save them!
