Fresh snow on Red Pike Buttermere.

The strong wind was bitterly cold as we emerged from Lanthwaite woods to the shore of Crummock Water this morning.

Fresh snow on the fells...

After a short bracing walk we were glad to get out of the wind and to walk back to the car through the woods.

Only 5 weeks now until Meteorological Spring ( 1st March ).
