Geometeorology

We have been very fortunate just lately with the weather.

But today my luck ran out.

The house is being lashed with gales and stinging rain that is hammering off the windows!

Dear reader, I am ashamed to admit what time I arose from my bed this morning. In fact, when I saw the clock I leapt out with such alacrity that I got both feet in one leg of my boxer shorts and narrowly avoided what the Health And Safety Executive refer to as a 'trouser Incident'

Once I disentangled myself from my under apparrel I completed the hazardous job of getting dressed and had a light breakfast before consulting the Health And Safety Report on trouser incidents and the wider issue of accidents in the home.

Incredible and amusing as it might seem there are reportedly more fatal accidents in the home than deaths on the road...

Not the least of which are serious injuries involving tea cosies, place mats and bathroom sponges! A common occurrence is 'falling down stairs whilst doing up trousers' (her husband has unexpectedly returned home?)

And many thousands are quite badly hurt each year in accidents involving birdbaths and clothes baskets!

Can you tell I am bored?

Oh, hang on, the cloud is moving and there is a hint of brightness in the sky...I'm off, catch you later, and please be careful out there, whatever you are wearing!
