Red sky in the morning
Definitely true to the rhyme ‘shepherd’s warning’. It started raining at lunchtime and all afternoon the wind has whistled around with accompanying heavy bursts of torrential rain. So very different from yesterday’s beautiful sunshine. I’m glad that I did my bird count for the RSPB yesterday as not many birds were around today. Yesterday I counted 27 birds. Mainly blackbirds, starlings, jackdaws and blue tits. However, I was pleased that four Fieldfares were visiting the garden during the hour as well.
