Joe-Pye Weed

This native perennial is just about to be in full bloom. I'm hoping that it will attract some butterflies and bees as promised. It's a very tall plant and usually doesn't do very well. However, this year it is thriving due to a wet Spring and the fact that I'm keeping up on my watering schedule. Who knows maybe a Viceroy butterfly blip is in my future.
